Tarot memory share [Tsuchigumo]

The room you enter this time is an ostentatious fortune tellers tent. Colourful silks drape the walls with intricate golden constellations embroidered on the ceiling. Various crystals, candles, magic 8 balls, and other superstitious sundries are scattered throughout the tent.

In the centre of the room is a table with ten chairs around it, and three cards laid out for you:

PRIESTESS, TEMPERANCE, DEVIL

[ he hums, an agreement, but it's veeeery faraway. seeing all those memories in succession like that is overwhelming for someone like him. after a moment, he pulls the Lovers card from the deck and spins it on the table, on its corner ]

I think so. It's pretty sweet, that memory, and he even said she was his wife.

It's not a spell. She's just the goddess that elves who... choose to sleep sometimes pray to. They ask for her help interpreting their dreams, but I don't think she could even hear me now, anyway.

Well if she can't help us, we might as well flip a coin.

Is a guy taking on a monstrosity a Fool for trying to fight him, or a Star for succeeding? Is a bed ridden kid reading the adventures of a Fool, or is he wishing he was somewhere else?

[ he's quiet for... a pretty long time! it takes real effort to put himself out of the mindset of interpreting a "dream" and just ascribing motive to a real event that he simply did not experience personally ]

Nah, I don't think the fight was being foolish. If it was meant to be that, wouldn't they have given a memory where they thought they could succeed, only to fail?
