It does not mean she would not defend us, should Echidna agree.

We cannot know.

I still think there's a chance Echidna might want to protect Bugbear because of last time. But they might also assume nobody else would target them because of that.

It matters little, unless we intend to target them ourselves.

Without a reason they would target us in return, it seems unwise.

I'm just running down our options based on what we know since this basically rules Bugbear out.
