[BASILISK]
[when you open your eyes, you find yourself in a pleasant greenhouse. the sweet scent of flowers surrounds you, and the sun shining through the glass ceiling invigorates you from within. there are stone benches on which you can sit, and if you're hungry, there's a garden table with some refreshing tea and scones available to you]
[the voice– the good voice– echoes in your head again]
YOUR DESIRES. . . CREATED THIS REALM. IT IS YOURS. . . IT IS NOT TYPHON'S! I CAN USE THOSE DESIRES TO GIVE YOU A SAFE PLACE. . . FROM WHICH TO FIGHT.
BUT I CANNOT DEFEAT HIM. . . ONLY YOU CAN. ONLY YOU– WITH YOUR OWN DESIRES!! YOU CAN. . . RESHAPE THIS WORLD. . . HOWEVER YOU'D LIKE!

I will not be a failure again! I will destroy you, to get that which I want!

[DESIRES TURN IN]

She wants to be able to come back, if she leaves it. She wants the promise of seeing those she might otherwise never see again. "We'll always have Reverie."
Typhon... has to fail. He will never stop unless he does, definitively, one final time. In no uncertain terms, she wants this to be his last failure. Maybe this isn't very sympathetic, but. What she can concede upon, though, is that what he did, he did out of an insane, angry, twisted version of love. So his final failure could be, perhaps, a peaceful one—to lose himself, as he once meant for everyone in Reverie to do, and in the release of his consciousness, maybe he can join his family, wherever they are, and meet his children again.

And to be inspired further by the bonds they have carved out for themselves in this place, the stories that bind them together. Proof that love and care for each other are more apt to lead to success through support than fail outright.

And so, she wants this place to grant people the opportunity to look at their lives differently and to be able to feel gratitude even for all the times that things go to shit. And for this place to give them the grace to be able to switch gears, to start over, to keep allowing them to meet people who are so wholly different that it changes their lives entirely... Like she's gotten to. Like she's planning to. For those like her, who have no more life to return to, be allowed to keep this second chance they've gotten and be able to live it out, whether here or in a different world, or perhaps even have that freedom to move between different ones.

He throws his desires behind making Reverie a place its former prisoners can come back to, and travel to other worlds from if they wish. However, he also wishes for caveats: that people can do no harm to each while within Reverie, and that while people can find their way to Reverie from their worlds whenever they wish, they also can't move from it to another world unless they mean no harm to anyone in that other world. 'People' means anyone at all -- humans, monsters, and whatever lies in between. Failure to perpetuate a cycle of harm is, in itself, a success.
For Typhon, he wishes to give him what he inadverdently gave Wei Wuxian. Instead of death, perspective and reflection, the ability to see where he went wrong and what he could have done better, to not reduce everything to terms of 'monsters' and 'other,' but to see the shades of grey instead of just black and white. It's a second chance -- Typhon can live in Reverie with his revived children as he wishes -- but since he'd be bound by the same caveats, he couldn't go anywhere else until he'd dwelled on his failure and buried his resentments and hate. Fail and eventually perish stuck in the same rut, or fail and move on -- it's his choice.

rather than a prison, Lan Wangji wishes instead that what he found most compelling about this place isn't lost: the hope of making another wish to help set things right. this has always been a realm where what you want most affects the world around you, and there's something Lan Wangji has always found powerful and purposeful about that. even if that doesn't remain in the same form as a suggestion box or a Universe card, he wants others to have an opportunity to create something new.
for Typhon and in some ways for Reverie as a whole, he hopes for acceptance of failure. he's not sure he actually believes failures can be fixed; you accept your failure, and then you live the life your failure has redefined. dying is the only other option. if Typhon or the other monsters or the other inhabitants of this place would rather rest than struggle with that, in this space beyond death, it is honestly without anger that Lan Wangji believes it's a valid option.
he hopes that a garden in a graveyard and a safe space created by a fragment of will in a borrowed rabbit skull mask can stay. and he hopes that the voice that offered this last chance to shape the world will be able to say, my desires matter instead of I cannot in the future, too.]
[THE END]
[and then. . . the glass begins to crack]
[this may seem worrying, but the bunny box's voice echoes in your head to soothe your concerns]
IT IS OKAY! DO NOT WORRY. YOUR POWER. . . IT IS ENOUGH. CLOSE YOUR EYES AND HOLD ON VERY VERY TIGHTLY!!
[and then, all around you, the greenhouse glass shatters, and your vision is engulfed in a warm, bright light]
